UPNs for subdivisions
The subdivision of a parcel means that a new UPN will need to be created for the ‘child’ parcel. The convention adopted for this process is to maintain the UPN of the parent parcel but to add a ‘/’ and then a letter (A, B, C, etc.) to this in order to create a UPN for the child parcel(s).
Example:
‘Parent’ parcel has the UPN 101/455/1234/24
First ‘child’ parcel will have UPN 101/455/1234/24/A
Second ‘child’ parcel will have UPN 101/455/1234/24/B
